The majority of our horses have been rescued from one place or the other. Many have unknown histories. We care for them, we give them love, a healthy life, a job and a place they can call home. 

~ Horses who need homes..

Recently, we have found a whole slew of horses in need.  Whether they are part of the PMU tragedy or just forgotten, neglected or unwanted... these beautiful creatures below were on their way to slaughter for no darn good reason.   Even though slaughter has been outlawed in California and many other states for many years. Horses are now being shipped across our international borders for an even more inhumane death.   If you hear of someone needing to place their horse please urge them not to take them to auction.  They will most likely end up going to the killer buyers.  Have them think about relinquishing their horse to a foster home or to a horse rescue like this one.

Please find it in your heart if you know someone who is the market for a horse to please consider saving a life!!  These beauties below were just only a handful!! We were able to save only a few but there are many others who are exported for human and canine consumption.

We can't stress enough how heartbreaking it is to see the horror look in these animals eyes when they are being packed into a truck for their inevitable destination.
